About me
My name is Octafiandri Hodir, but you can call me Findri or just Fin to make it sweet and short. I am a visual designer specializing in integrated brand and marketing communication with over 10 years of experience in the startup/tech scene. Throughout my career, I gained valuable experience, especially in my senior visual designer role at Tourlane, a booking platform for personalized multi-day tours in Berlin. However, I have recently decided to take a break and slow down for the upcoming months.
Despite this, I'm not entirely jobless. I run my own side business called The Unicorn Work Creative Design and Shop, where I sell goods and offer design services to a variety of clients ranging from SMEs including start-ups to non-profit organizations. I've been freelancing since 2010, and I finally registered my side business in August 2021. Soon, I'm planning to expand my shop to Etsy and Shopify. I would be happy to hop on the new full-time job adventure If a new opportunity arises that aligns with my interests
About my education background: I studied visual communication design (B.A) with a main focus on integrated branding strategy at Universitas Paramadina (Jakarta, Indonesia) and graduated in 2012 with a Cum Laude honor. My interest in branding encouraged me to learn more through my work experiences and formal education. Later in 2017, I gained my Master of Arts in Creative Communication and Brand Management from Hochschule Pforzheim, Germany.
And this is the real me...
I'm originally from Indonesia. I've been a Berliner since 2014. I love crafting, cooking, and gaming. If you don't know me, you probably will think I'm a weirdo, and that's okay. The truth is I'm an introvert, an INFJ-A, to be exact. Too much human interaction exhausts me easily, and I prefer spending time with myself, which made me a #unfuckwithable person. I'm very organized in my mind but messy on my desk. To me, home is the best office in the world, and thank you, Corona, for making working from home a reality. People often mistake my profession for a creative job. Actually, my profession is very strategic and full of rules, whereas creativity has no boundaries. But, as a person, I am indeed very creative, crafty, and full of pink stuff and unicorns.
